Shopping with a Friend
Choose a day and then let your best friend pick out something for you to wear. There’s a very good chance that she will choose something that you would never have picked for yourself. And you might be pleasantly surprised. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh eye. We tend to be drawn to the same styles and colors and that is called… a rut!
And if you don’t like the item, at least try it on. You can’t judge how something will look on you vs. the hanger. And then you spend a little time pointing out something for her to wear! If nothing else, you will both have a great afternoon.
And if you aren’t quite ready to let someone else spend your money, suggest exchanging outfits for a week.
