Spending the day at Ikea
Believe it or not, I actually spent an entire afternoon shopping at Ikea. Britt and I usually go with her dad and you know what men are like. They zero in on what they want and then that’s it, time to go home. Don’t they know about browsing??
Anyway, Britt and I did just that. We browsed for about 4 hours and only decided to leave because we were having company that night. We even stopped for lunch and I’m talking tablecloths and comfortable chairs. Who knew that lunch could be that good and affordable? Britt had salmon and I had grilled chicken along with a plateful of steamed vegetables. (A healthy lunch!!) Oh yes, I must tell you about the lingonberry sauce that was served with the chicken. I think that I have found something that I like better than cranberry sauce. Ir was amazing.
And did we buy anything? Actually, the frugal side of me came out yesterday. I bought organizing items for my office. At the moment, no one would believer that I can get any work done in there… stating that it’s a little messy is being generous.
Will we go back? Oh yes! We saw an awful lot of things that we want. We are just spacing them out so that the credit cards don’t look so bad.
