Shopping Without the Guilt
You probably have guessed that I like to go shopping, but perhaps for the wrong reasons. I don’t really need anything, I just like to get out once a week so that I can see what other people look like. When you work at home behind a desk all week, it can get pretty lonely, so my one day out is something that I really look forward to.Unfortunately I admit, I can get carried away with the shopping thing. Just last week I saw two items that would be perfect for Christmas for Britt and her brother Jamie. Obviously I’m not going to say what I bought because Britt also writes for “Shopaholics Daily”, but I have to admit, I felt a little guilty. My plans were to buy one magazine… that’s it, but ended up buying two Christmas presents that certainly cost a whole lot more than that magazine would have! But I look at it this way. When Christmas comes next year and I have all of those Christmas presents wrapped and paid for, I’m going to be happy I did it.
You see, my plan is to buy one gift each month for each of them so that when Christmas roles around, each of them have 12 gifts. Should be easy right? Problem is, I usually get to the 12 by the beginning of June… and then I don’t want to stop.
So did I buy someone golf clubs?? They are just going to have to wonder until Christmas morning! ;)
