No, I’m Not Sick!
You know all of those frozen pizzas that you have been buying because they are convenient… well, you might want to stop. No, I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but instead of sending you shopping, I’m sending you to the kitchen. No, actually now that I think about it, I am going to send you to a store… just to a different department. But before I tell you where, I’m going to tell you why.
*There’s a ton of fat in pizza, especially if it contains pepperoni
*The crusts are sometimes made with hydrogenated oil. That’s not good. Use a breadmaker and make your own crust. Not hard at all!! Trust me, I do it all the time.
*The salt that is used in frozen pizza is astronomical. My doctor told me so!!
So, I’m sending you to the grocery store to buy veggies for your pizza. (No I’m really feeling just fine!!) You know those 5-10 servings of vegetables that we are supposed to eat on a daily basis. Well, we don’t get anywhere near that much each day. Throwing them all on top of a pizza sounds like a good way to me!
And get your kids used to veggie pizzas from the time they are little. They won’t know that there are any other kind! Yes, every once in a while I go and get logical… But the old me will probably be back tomorrow!
