Pauline Shadden works out of a truck, wears jeans on her job and often views her handiwork from the top of a ladder. She is in the roofing business.
But when the Lenexa woman bats her eyes, her lashes are aflutter with womanly charm.
She wears eyelash extensions, a rising embryonic beauty trend moving across the country.
“It’s nice to have that girly thing about me,” Shadden says.”
Well, I guess that there’s no excuse for me then. Even though I sit home working behind a desk… all by myself, I guess I could get myself some lash extensions?? Can you tell I’m working on convincing myself that I really need longer lashes. Call it something special just for myself. It doesn’t matter if no one is going to see them until everyone comes home at night. But it just might get me out of the house. I could go for a walk around the block each day so that people see my lashes?? It’s a bit more exercise too right?? I’m nearly there!! My lashes are so puny anyway!
