Am I Addicted to Shopping?
I don’t really know how to answer that. I like to shop! Does that make me addicted to it? Maybe it would be wiser to look at the reasons why I shop.
Reasons in the Pro Column
1. It gets me out of the house.
2. I actually get to see people instead of a computer screen.
3. Walking around the mall gives me a little exercise that I might not get at home.
4. Because I have time to look… my kids get some really cool Christmas presents!
Reasons in the Con Column
1. I very seldom have a shopping list.
2. I can’t remember the last time I went to a mall and DIDN’T spend money.
3. I do feel guilty when I leave the mall with tons of shopping bags. But hey, very little of the stuff was for me!
I think that I had better stop right there. It seems that I am using my shopping trips for entertainment purposes more than anything else. I need to replace shopping with something more constructive… or at least not go shopping so often. My credit card is taking a beating!
