A Little Tax Relief
Whether you keep your receipts meticulously filed in triplicate or scrunched in a ball that rolls around under your bed, preparing a tax return is nobody’s idea of fun. So many numbers, so many questions. Why aren’t Chihuahuas considered dependents? We feed them, don’t we? And who says that Marc Jacobs shoes aren’t a necessary work expense? We feel your pain. Take a deep breath, light a candle and let your anxiety melt away in a soothing bath. Or you can splurge on something brand new just for you. And, of course, we have just the thing.”
I have been asking those very questions every time my husband raises an eyebrow about a particular receipt that I have saved over the past year. Each one of them makes perfect sense to me. I could even come up with a really good reason why that candle up there should be a work expense! And if they start letting Chihuahuas become a tax deduction in the future, I wonder if the same goes for an Alpaca (actually Britt and I want a pair so that they won’t get lonely) and then we thought that a miniature pig would make a cute little… watch dog for the house. Better make that two of them as well. You want my reasons?? I can give you more than you probably want!
More about the candle :)
