OLD BAGS Shouldn’t Be Retired
“You see the trends come and go so quickly, it’s like wildfire,” says Elisa Casas, owner of Clutch, a new purveyor of vintage purse porn in Nolita. “With vintage bags, they’re almost all one-of-a-kind. The it bag is dooming yourself to spending a lot of money and being disappointed in a few weeks.”
Casas is definitely right about the trends, but hey, that’s half the fun. But this woman never has to worry about carrying the same handbag season after season. Apparently she collects everything vintage and has a collection numbering in the hundreds. I wonder where she stores them all??
It sure would be fun to go through her collection. I wonder what women were carrying fifty years ago??
