Male vs Female Shopping Practices
I have been thinking about Christmas shopping now since… I guess January. Yes, it takes me that long to find the perfect gifts for my family. Same goes for Britt. She spends a lot of time looking for just the right items and it takes the best part of a year for her too. And she doesn’t even like shopping!!
Now the same can’t be said for her father or her brother. Lets start with her brother. He
starts his Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. I’m not joking here. When he lived at home, I would ask him and I would get the same story. “I have lots of time”. And then after work on Christmas Eve, he would hit all the stores in the mall and come out with everything he needed.
Britt’s dad cheats. He tells Britt to do his shopping which works out well for me as Britt just asks what I want! But for birthdays or anniversaries, he will go into one store, stay a half hour and come out with the stuff he wants.
Now the difference between Britt and my method apposed to Jamie and his Dad is the fact that we spend a whole lot less. It might take us a bit longer, but we get more for less money. Now if darling husband was reading this, he would feel it necessary to point out that Britt and I should be factoring in all of those lunches that we stop for. And grudgingly, I suppose he is right.
But we have a lot more fun in the process!!
