Are You a Loyal Shopper?
“I’m finally getting used to Marshall Field’s, and now they are going to be Macy’s,” she muses after shopping at the Marshall Field’s Oakland Mall store on Tuesday. “I’m probably going to get used to it, too Macy’s is a nice store.”
This is an article about 22 stores that are suddenly going to become Macy’s instead of Marshall Fields and that started me thinking. How would I feel if some of my favorite stores suddenly pulled out and were replaced by different stores?? Would I care?
To be quite honest, I don’t think I would. I don’t feel any loyalty to one particular store. But if they stop giving me what I want, I will certainly stop shopping there, but it doesn’t seem to work, the other way around.
For example, if a bigger and better bookstore was to move into my town, I have no qualms about checking it out!
So today’s question is… just how loyal are you? If you feel as I do, what does that say about stores in general??
