Retro Toaster Oven by DeLonghi America

I have been wondering about these and maybe some of you can give me some advice. We used to own one of these and the term “toaster” was about all it was good for. We made a lot of cheese on toast ( husband is from England) but that is about all. It wouldn’t get hot enough to actually cook or bake anything. Has that changed?? I’m seriously thinking about putting it on my Christmas wish list, but I would like to know if it’s actually worth it!

Any help would be appreciated… big time! :)
