Strange Invisible Perfumes

by Shopping Diva on November 2nd, 2006

strange invisible perfumesWell, I for one won’t be able to resist checking out this company. Is that a great company name or what?? And the fragrance in particular that I’m curious about is called Black Rosette. “Top notes include African roses, black tea, leather, and spearmint. Inspired by Russian smoked tea and the hypnotic delicacies of Eastern Europe.”

I don’t think that I have ever found a fragrance that incorporated spearmint into the formulation… at least I don’t think so. Have to admit, it certainly did make me curious, but it looks as if I’m going to have to wait until the weekend to hunt it down. I wonder if they had a special on during the week of Halloween? It certainly would have been fitting!

This just reminded me of a story… and I have about a zillion. My dad never wore cologne that I remember, but his cardigans always had this certain outdoorsy scent that every once in a while would drift past. It happened a lot right after he died, so maybe it was just my imagination, but you do hear stories like that. Just out of the blue you smell the fragrance of someone special in your life. In my case, it was my dad. And now that I think about it, I do think that he used to wear Old Spice! It hasn’t happened in a while, but it was made me feel warm and contented.

Has this ever happened to you?

I had an old flame that just sort of disappeared out of the blue call me up about a year or so after the fact, and he had been to lunch, and the waitress “smelled like me.” I have always had a love for Eternity, from Calvin Klein, and that just reinforced it. :)
