On Today’s Shopping List… Flannel Sheets
Have you looked at the calendar?? It’s almost winter. Okay, not technically, but it is sure starting to feel that way, and when the colder weather begins to set in, I’m attracted to my books more and more. Today, a book called Simple Pleasures jumped out at me and with the number of books that I have collected over the years, when a book calls to me, I know that there has to be a reason, so of course I pulled it out and brought it back to my desk.
The book is divided into four sections… one for each season and of course I turned to the section entitled winter. I seldom start at the beginning of any book (unless it’s a novel) and simply opened it to whatever page the book seems to want and today that just happened to be page 175. The first thing I noticed was the heading “Flannel Sheets”. 
Believe it or not, I have lived in this area all of my life and I have never bought a pair of flannel sheets, but they do sound awfully warm and toasty! I don’t know why I have never thought of stocking up for the winter. Climbing into a disgustingly warm bed sounds a lot better than the chill of cotton! Guess what’s going down on my Christmas list and if no one buys them for me, well, I have yet another reason to go shopping!
