Too tired to go shopping!
As you probably know, I have been in California for the past ten days… no make that 11. I should have been home yesterday, but the weather decided to get involved and decided to cancel my flight home and strand me in Chicago. On top of that, with so many people stranded, it made it almost impossible to find a place to stay for the night. We finally managed to find a pokey little room and grabbed it. At least we had a room. Now what to do about dinner. The wind is howling and none of us have a winter coat with us. Jackets yes, but winter coats… not even close and with the weather the way it was, we had no idea what we were going to do about dinner.
Luckily for us, we spotted a Chinese restaurant across from the hotel and four lanes of traffic. It was our best option if we wanted to eat. So, climbing through snowdrifts in jackets and running shoes, we managed to get to the restaurant, which we had to ourselves by the way!
My one regret is that I spent the night in Chicago and never got the chance to go shopping. From what I hear, they have an amazing shopping mall!

I love it when you are forced into places like that on the ‘hoof’ so to speak not the best of conditions but it sounds like you made a night of it as for your blog “Ace”

You are right. It’s fun to think back on what you had to do AFTER you’ve arrive home. That’s the second time we’ve been stranded… the first time in Miami and it actually turned out to be a lot of fun!
Being stranded in a blizzard… not so much fun, but that Chinese dinner was awesom! And generally, we don’t like Chinese food lol…
