Your Thoughts on Customer Service
I was just reading over at Mystery Shopping Matters and in particular why certain stores really don’t think that service really matters any more. We just bought a new house last year and this really struck home with me. At our year end, we brought in a home inspector and he found nine pages of code violations or poor workmanship. They have to the end of the month to finish everything on that list and they aren’t going to make it. At the moment, men are working in our backyard to correct the grading violations… and its pouring rain.
Do I feel sorry for these guys?? For the men doing the work, yes, for the builder who tried to cut corners, no way. They were trying to get out of building a deck for us and it backfired. But back to customer service. It’s not only home builders that we have to deal with, it’s the smaller stores that we visit on a weekly basis. What are your thoughts on the topic. Has customer service improved or tanked where you live?
