Buying School Shoes Online??
I can still remember going to the mall just before school began to buy ONE pair of new shoes. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Not only do kids want more than one pair, parents aren’t taking the kids to the mall to buy them. It seems that buying shoes online has become more popular than ever.
I guess I can see how much easier this makes life for the moms out there. Hawling three little munchkins around a mall for an afternoon in HOPES of finding a pair of shoes is hard work. Sitting in front of a computer in your housecoat… as I am now ;) is a lot easier.
But here is something that really surprised me…
“Online footwear sales are expected to nearly double from $2.8 billion in 2005 to $5.5 billion by 2010. Forrester Research and Shop.Org attributed an expected 21 percent increase in online apparel, accessory and footwear sales this year mostly to shoes.”
I knew that shopping online was becoming popular, but I didn’t know that it was anything close to this!! I think that I’m going to go into business selling shoes with my shoe loving daughter!

I always bring my youngest to get measured for their shoes and get them at least one very “good” pair of shoes, then I do go online to shop for the “fun” shoes. You can’t beat how easy it is, and with all the free shipping and return shipping too, you cannot go wrong - it’s much easier than dragging them to the store to try on more shoes!
