The Hershey Store and then there is The Cheesecake Factory
That had to be the highlight of yesterday. A store full of chocolate… doesn’t get much better than that and we found it quite by accident. We were wandering down Michigan Avenue here in Chicago and suddenly it was there - on one of the side streets.
It’s a great shop, painted in candy colors and blasting with music from bygone days. Our favorite song had to be about peanut butter being spread on toast… maybe you had to be there lol, but it was great. And then there is the fact that they were handing out free chocolate.
Seeing that I hadn’t had coffee since breakfast, Britt and I settle in to one of the tables for a cup of hot chocolate, which Britt said was one of the best she had ever tasted and for me a cup of coffee, spiked with some of her hot chocolate. It was one amazing cup of coffee.
And (if we figured it out correctly), each hour the store features a design your own cupcake contest. We came in at the tail end of this one, but just maybe we will drop in this afternoon for another look. And then there was dinner last night …
We decided to check out The Cheesecake Factory. For some reason, we have missed out on this particular restaurant to date. Well, last night we took care of that oversight.
I had the Santa Fe Salad, Britt had the Asian Chicken Salad and Gary had the Sea Food Salad. We all decided to order salads so that we would have room for dessert. Wel, that didn’t happen for me. I had to make do with a spoonful of a White Chocolate, Raspberry slice of Cheesecake and another spoonful from Britt’s Godiva Mud Pie. I could positively gush over both desserts, but suffice to say, Britt and I just might go back for lunch today and skip everything but dessert.

Once I saw chocolate, I started drooling LOL

Lol… but you know that they do say that chocolate is good for you ;)
