Long Cashmere Gloves for the Florida Winter ;)

by Shopping Diva on January 2nd, 2008

Our Exclusive Long Cashmere GlovesYikes… I left Toronto to get away from the cold weather for a few weeks and guess what… it’s cold here in Florida!! And from what I’ve been hearing, it’s going to get colder before the temperatures begin to climb again. Good thing I brought my parka… only kidding, but these gloves won’t be out of place. Must watch when we go outside today to see what Floridians are wearing to brave what must be nasty temperatures for them!

So it’s your fault I have to take the plants in!!!

    Just kidding ; )

First off, don’t follow the average Floridian’s style. Generally speaking, we aren’t good at dealing with cold temperatures stylishly since most of us probably haven’t updated our below-50’s wardrobe in years. And you will no doubt still see plenty of crazy people in flip flops, shorts, and hoodies. I know, I used to be one.

Please, just set a good example for us natives.

By the way, I got my long, cashmere gloves today — just in time.

Tonight I’m wearing my long black boots with a black long skirt and black tights. Up top, I’m wearing a grey knit shirt and will probably wear my long black coat. I may add a scarf tonight for color, and I’m still deciding on a hat.

How long are you in Florida?

Yesterday I saw everything from hats to flip flops and just about everything in between. Luckily I brought enough with me to keep me warm… but had to share with my daughter who didn’t expect the temps to drop. Yeah for me. She constantly tells me that I bring too much.

Sadly, we leave tomorrow morning. I can only hope that our neighbours have taken pity on us and have cleared a path for our car! But the good news… we will be back in the summer for a few more weeks. I LOVE YOUR SALES!!
